Playing on a newly restored 1775 instrument by Jacob Kirkman, kindly loaned by Peter and Mary Berg, harpsichordist Medea Bindewald takes us back to the vivid environment of post-Handelian London for this programme, which features works by Johann Christian Bach and by the nearly forgotten composer Jacob Kirkman (1746-1812), a nephew of the famous harpsichord maker of the same name.
