The distinguished harpsichordist and conductor Trevor Pinnock, founder of The English Concert, is one the leading figures in the world of early music. He is joined for this concert by two outstanding instrumentalists in that field, the violinist Matthew Truscott, leader for a number of international ensembles including The King's Consort, The Classical Opera Company and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, and Jonathan Manson, guest principal cellist for, amongst others, The English Concert, the Academy of Ancient Music, the English Baroque Soloists and the OAE.
