“Here will we sit and let the sounds of music creep in our ears”
After recent festivals in which the final Choral concert has featured two of the great works from the renaissance and baroque – Monteverdi’s 1610 Vespers last year and the Bach Mass in B minor in 2012 – this year the Festival is delighted to welcome back the outstanding British tenor Mark Padmore, who will join the Festival Choir for a rare performance of Gerald Finzi's beautiful setting of Wordsworth's celebrated poem.
