The Secret Muse: Music from Late Renaissance Ferrara
The Ferrarese Court in the latter 16th century was a veritable crucible of the emerging baroque style. Many of the composers featured in tonight's concert – Luzzaschi, Zenobi, Piccinini – were closely associated with Ferrara, and identified by Monteverdi as his musical forebears.
