One of the outstanding Quartets of their generation, the Sacconi’s have forged an enviable international career in the past few years, winning numerous prizes along the way. Three years ago they gave a memorable concert at Stour, which included Schubert’s ‘Death and the Maiden’ Quartet and the great C major Quintet; for today’s special concert they are joined by bass player Ben Russell and wind players from the Aurora Ensemble, to give a performance of Schubert’s incomparable ‘Octet’. Don’t miss it. What better way to spend a summer Sunday afternoon!
